Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to contribute to restoring Chisinau-based Botanical Garden

Chisinau, 04 May /MOLDPRES/ – Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation will contribute to restoring of the Botanical Garden as a result of bad weather in April. The announcement was made today at a joint press conference between Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Prince Albert II of Monaco, being on a visit to Chisinau.
The officials had a meeting today where they reviewed the possibilities of deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields and outlined the cooperation priority guidelines.
After the meeting the officials signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Prince of Monaco. According to the document, the priority areas for cooperation include: environmental protection and exploration of renewable energies; exchange of experience in adopting and implementing the Sustainable Development Objectives of Agenda 2030, agriculture and agro-food industry, tourism and hotel services, culture, education and sports.
Also today, it was signed the Memorandum of Agreement between the Prince Albert II Foundation and the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Moldova, which provides support for environmental projects, including the rehabilitation of the Botanical Garden, severely affected after the April bad weather.
Prince of Monaco, Albert II pays an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on 04-05 May, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
