Moldovan Mother and Child Institute's Rehabilitation Section modernized with Turkey's support

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip and his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim today participated in inauguration of the Clinical Rehabilitation Section of the Mother and Child Institute. The section’s renovation was possible due to the financial support of the Turkish government provided through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In his speech, Filip was grateful for the support offered by Turkish partners and noted that the inauguration of the section represented a relevant example of effective bilateral cooperation.
At the same time, the premier said that the renovation of the section corresponded to the Moldovan government’s strategic goal, which aimed to launch a string of essential health reforms, such as: hospital reform, primary health care and reform of the public health surveillance sector. “I want to assure you that the health dimension and firstly the protection of mother and child health will be further in the attention of the government”, he said.
“We have a vast potential for cooperation that needs to be used. Thus, through the TIKA agency, we strive to carry out projects of maximum responsibility, including the renovation of the headquarters. The event is very important, as investments in children are investments in the future”, Binali said.
The renovation project included capital repairs and endowment with advanced medical equipment.
