Moldovan PM meets Czech vice chairman of chamber of deputies

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip has met Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Jan Bartošek, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The sides discussed the Moldovan-Czech cooperation at the governmental and parliamentary level, including by boosting the exchange of high-level visits, contacts between the specialized committees, friendship parliamentary groups and between the foreign ministries. In this context, Filip called for Czech support in backing Moldova’s efforts in the process of modernization and alignment with the European standards. “We highly appreciate the Czech Republic’s support for the European integration of Moldova. The government and parliament have set as a priority the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement and will continue the joint efforts to achieve the assumed goals”, Filip said.
For his part, Jan Bartošek reiterated the Czech Republic’s commitment to back Moldova’s long-term development. Also, the official shared the experience of his state in the European path. “It is important that small countries join their efforts to become a whole. We are glad to be members of the EU, this has brought us benefits and helped us to advance”, he said.
