Road transport authorizations to be issued via e-Authorization system in Moldova from 2018

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/ – The decision of the Government on approving the Regulation on the issuance and use of road transport authorizations will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 12 May 2017.

According to the decision, the regulation will enter into the effect two months after the date of publication, and the provisions on the mandatory use of the e-Authorization Transport Information System will be applied from 01 January 2018.

The Regulation provides that authorizations will be issued at a fixed cost, within the stock limits of registered carriers only. However, in order to benefit from the services offered by the National Transport Agency, the road transport operators, as well as the natural persons are to register in the information system “e-transport Authorization", to submit a request indicating the type of document Request and return the authorization that they held previously.

According to the document, the road transport operator will get a notification announcing whether or not the request is accepted, after the application submission.
