New judge of Moldovan top court takes oath today

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/- New judge of the Constitutional Court (CC) Victoria Iftodi today took the oath before the parliament and President Igor Dodon.
Iftodi was selected for the post of CC judge by contest and will hold a mandate for a six-year term. She will take place of Alexandru Tanase, whose mandate expired on 14 April 2017.
She was born on 13 January 1969 in the village of Lalova, Rezina district. During the last years, she held several state positions, including Justice Minister (2004-2006) and Moldovan Ambassador to France. During the same period, concurrently she served as Moldovan Ambassador to the Democratic and People’s Algerian Republic, the Kingdom of Spain, UNESCO and the Latin Union.
