Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets UN Resident Coordinator

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii met with the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Permanent Representative for the Republic of Moldova, Dafina Gercheva and with the UN Women Country Representative, Ulziisuren Jamsran.

The two officials reviewed the improvement of the legal framework regarding the activity of the resident UN agencies, as well as current actions developed by the UN Country team in view of implementation of joint projects.

Also, the interlocutors discussed about the cooperation with the UN Women Country Office, including in the context of the upcoming visit to the Republic of Moldova of the UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka (10-13 June 2017).
