Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ – The consultations on air services cooperation on between Moldova and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) took place in Abu Dhabi. The launch of the air link between both states was discussed by the Director of the Civil Aeronautical Authority, Radu Bezniuc and the Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE, Omar Bin Ghaleb.
The official of the UAE Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the determination of Flydubai to resume low-cost flights between Dubai and Chisinau starting in March 2018. Similarly, he informed the representatives of the airlines about the possibility to carry out cargo flights from the airports of Moldova, in the context of the objective to create in Moldova a regional air hub. "The Moldovan airline is in constant development and has advanced much with the implementation of the Single European Sky. With the arrival of such intercontinental companies with the potential of Emirates Airline or Ethiad Airways, this goal will become a reality very soon," said Radu Bezniuc.
Its offer and benefits have been appreciated by airline managers in the United Arab Emirates, who said it would be thoroughly examined by companies' offices to make the most of the opportunities offered by the Air Services Agreement between Moldova and UAE.
Emirates Airline is one of the top 10 world companies, in terms of passenger numbers and comfort. The Emirates fleet is steadily growing, with one of the world’s youngest fleets.
Ethiad Airways is the United Arab Emirates National Company, established in 2003, and Flydubai is the low-cost company. Flydubai entered the airline market in Moldova on 20 November 2013, and Chisinau became the 66th destination of the company.
