Premier, ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova discuss Moldovan-Kazakh partnership

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova Samat Ordabayev. The officials discussed the importance to deepen the bilateral cooperation, including by boosting contacts between the business communities from the two states, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister said that, although the relations between Moldova and Kazakhstan are good, there is potential which has not been turned to account, including in terms of bilateral trade exchanges. At the same time, Pavel Filip invited investors from Kazakhstan to participate in the process of privatization launched by the Moldovan authorities. “A lot can be made for the development of the Moldovan-Kazakh partnership and we are willing to strengthen the dialogue between our countries,” the PM said.
For his part, Kazakh Ambassador to Moldova Samat Ordabayev noted that, during his mandate, he would take efforts to facilitate the bilateral cooperation through a sound economic pragmatism.
The sides also discussed the importance to stimulate the collaboration of business people from the two countries, including through setting up of companies with joint capital, specialized in the industry of processing agricultural products. In this respect, in 2017, the sixth meeting of the Moldovan-Kazakh inter-governmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation is to be organized and more bilateral documents are to be prepared to facilitate direct investments.
