Speaker affirms Moldova’s approach to EU makes it stronger

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Parliament participated in premiere at the European Town with an informative tent. The event was traditionally organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the public authorities and the diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
"The EU Member States are so different, but so united by their diversity and democratic values. We are Europeans and the Republic of Moldova is a European state. Every day, our country is getting closer to the EU, to European values, and it makes Moldova stronger," said Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu, at the official opening ceremony of the event.
"The EU will continue to support reforms in the Republic of Moldova because it cares for Moldovan citizens. The EU will continue to help the Republic of Moldova so that the citizens to live better and have a better future," said Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola, Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova.
The Speaker, together with MPs, ministers and ambassadors toured the European Town. Then, Andrian Candu joined the Parliament’s informative tent, where he discussed with the event visitors, answered their questions and requests, presented info about the parliamentary activity and provided informative materials about the Parliament.
