New round of Moldovan-Turkmen consultations between deputy foreign ministers to be held in 2017

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii received Deputy Prime Minister, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov today, paying a visit as head of a Turkmen government delegation in Moldova, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials exchanged views on the current state and prospects of developing the Moldovan-Turkish relations. The interlocutors agreed on the importance of maintaining a dynamic and regular interaction between the foreign ministries of Moldova and Turkmenistan, advocating in particular the organization of a new round of Moldovan-Turkmen consultations at the level of foreign ministers in 2017.
Deputy Minister Lilian Darii expressed his gratitude of the Moldovan side to the Turkmen one for the construction of the kindergarten of in Cismichioi in the southern part of Moldova. The Moldovan official highly appreciated the efforts and operability proved by the Turkmen side in the construction of that important social object.
There were discussed a number of current issues on the of the Moldovan-Turkmen relations agenda, at the meeting, with an emphasis on the advancement of the commercial-economic cooperation. Also, it was expressed mutual interest for continuation of the work of the Moldovan-Turkmen intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation.
