Moldovan deputy foreign minister receives ambassador of Japan

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, received today, 14 September 2017, the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova, Masanobu Yoshii, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy service, strategic communication and interaction with the press has reported.
During the meeting, the two officials made an overview of some aspects of the bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture. In this context, Deputy Minister Darii underlined the importance of the efficient implementation of the assistance programme on conservative agriculture, which has been realized with the support of the Japanese Government.
With regard to the Moldovan-Japanese cooperation within the frameworks of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Cooperation – GUAM, the interlocutors elaborated on the prospects of the interaction between the foreign ministries of Moldova and Japan with the aim to define the objectives of the cooperation in the GUAM+Japan format, when the Republic of Moldova is to chair GUAM in 2018.
