Moldovan foreign ministry condemns ballistic missile launch by Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration condemns ballistic missile launch of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on the 15th of September 2017.
The illegal and contrary to the principles of international law intrusion in Japan’s air space represents a strong menace to the security and sovereignty of this country. Therewith, the systematic practice of such actions constitutes a violation of multiple resolutions of the UN Security Council, as well as of the requests made by the international community to cease any missile tests.
The Republic of Moldova subscribes to the deep preoccupations of the international community regarding these actions of a destabilizing character, that threaten the security in the Korean peninsula and the surrounding region, urging the Pyongyang authorities to give up the nuclear arming policy and reengage in a credible political dialogue with the international community.
