Consideration by United Nations of withdrawal of foreign troops from Moldova to be proposed for registration on General Assembly's agenda

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) informs that Moldova’s application on the inclusion of an additional subject titled, Full Withdrawal of Foreign Military Troops from Moldova, on the agenda of the 72nd session of the United National General Assembly, was included in the list of supplementary items proposed to be registered in the agenda of the General Assembly, the MAEIE public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
According to the working agenda of the General Committee, in charge of the procedural aspects of the compilation and completion of the agenda of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, the item proposed by Moldova will be considered at one of the meetings due in next October.
According to the cited source, the information spread in mass media, including the one on the “postponing by the UN of the examination of the item proposed by Moldova” is not true. The UN General Assembly has not considered this issue.
