Moldovan PM to attend General Assembly of United Nations

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip will attend the 72nd session of the General Assembly of United Nations held in New York on 19-22 September 2017, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier will deliver a speech on behalf of Moldova. Also, Filip will have a lot of bilateral meetings with heads of state and government and US, European and United Nations officials. The talks will focus on exploring possibilities to boost the bilateral diplomatic relations and cooperation in areas of common interest.
The UN General Assembly is an important event on the international political arena, where political leaders have the opportunity to present the situation in the countries they represent and to consolidate the peace collaboration within the United Nations.
Moldova became a member of the United Nations on 2 March 1992.
