Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Democratic Party considers several possibilities to provide the opposition with mechanisms of access to some institutional platforms or working bodies, so as to be better informed and strengthened. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu made the statement today.
Candu said that the idea arose after protests organized by the opposition. “Moldova needs a strengthened opposition able to formulate clear visions. For this reason, we decided to help them consolidate, provide them with some mechanisms of access to institutional platforms or working bodies, so as to be better informed, able to formulate their proposals, access to governance and better understand the processes”, he said.
The official criticized the requests made by the protest organizers on Sunday and noted that some political leaders have previously asked the amendment to the electoral system. Candu added he will seek the help of European partners in the cooperation process with the opposition.
