Moldovan president awards state distinctions to band for excellent performance at international song contest

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has congratulated the DoReDos band for the excellent performance showed at the Novaya Volna-2017 (New Wave 2017) International Song Contest of Young Singers, held in Sochi, Russia, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state awarded each member of the band the honorific title of Artist Emerit (Merited Artist) and the medal Meritul Civic (Civic Merit) – to the band’s producer, for the progress made at the Novaya Volna 2017 contest, as well as for substantial contribution to the promotion of Moldova’s good image abroad.

The president said that the band DoReDos is Moldova’s pride. Igor Dodon added he had supported this band from the very beginning and would further back.
