Moldovan, American officials approach cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Elisabeth I. Millard on 20 September, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s media relations service has reported.

The talks focused on important issues of the bilateral political agenda, intensification of multi-level cooperation in the context of the launch of the Strategic Dialogue between our countries, developments in Moldova and actions taken by the government in the implementation of reforms.

The American official reiterated the openness of the US for dialogue, support for promoting democratic reforms and encouraging the continuation of the European integration of Moldova.

The officials also exchanged views on the international security environment both in the context of recent developments and cooperation between the UN and relevant regional organizations.
