Moldovan working in Denmark awarded diploma of recognition of Moldova's government

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - A Moldovan, professor in the field of innovation and business at the Aalborg University, Denmark, Romeo Turcan, on 20 September was awarded the first degree Diploma on behalf of the government, signed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, through the Diaspora Relations Bureau (BRD) of the State Chancellery. The diploma was given for outstanding progress made in the professional sector and active participation in the promotion of Moldova’s image in the Kingdom of Denmark, according to BRD.
This diploma is meant to prove the professional work of Romeo Turcan, his extraordinary efforts made to back the higher education of Moldova. Honorary Consul of Moldova in Denmark Asser Mortensen handed the diploma to the Moldovan professor.
The event took place at an inaugural lecture delivered by Romeo Turcan. During the ceremony, professor Turcan spoke about the childhood spent in Moldova, where there are his roots, as well as many others memories linked to Moldova.
Romeo Turcan is the head of the Moldovans’ Organization from Denmark (OMD). He has business experience in the energy, oil, military, high-tech, consultancy and management sectors. Turcan is an active person, initiating numerous projects and activities through which Moldova directly benefits. In the last years, as an employee of the Aalborg University, Romeo Turcan initiated and coordinated more international projects, which contributed to the development and strengthening of the entire higher education sector of Moldova and cooperated with more universities of the country. Among the success projects, there are the following: * ERASMUS+ „Introduction Problem Based Learning in Moldova: Toward Enhancing Students’ Competitiveness and Employability”;
* TEMPUS „Enhancing University Autonomy in Moldova”.
