PM, European official broach Moldova's European agenda

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip and European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn discussed the level of implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement and the priority actions due to be taken in this regard. The dialogue took place on the sidelines of the session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
An important instrument on the matter is the Association Agenda agreed by Moldova and EU, which includes the actions that the institutions will take in 2017-2019 to carry out the Association Agreement.
At the same time, referring to the EU macro-financial assistance, Filip assured that all the conditions for its allocation will be met, so that it can be earmarked to Moldova according to the agreed timetable.
For his part, Johannes Hahn said that the EU will further back the Moldovan authorities in promoting the policies on the benefit of citizens.
The officials also exchanged views on preparation for the Eastern Partnership Summit, due to be held in Brussels this November. In this context, Filip reiterated the importance of this platform for our country, noting that the success of the Eastern Partnership will be success of the member states and EU.
