Moldovan budgetary employees might increase by ten per cent

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament adopted a draft law providing for a ten-per cent increase in the office salaries of the budgetary employees in the first reading today.

Under the draft, over 120,000 employees from the institutions of education, culture and art, medical, sanitary and social assistance institutions, the ones of physical culture and sport, science and innovation sector will benefit from the increase. Also, the salaries of the military, policemen, employees of the national defence bodies, state security and public order will rise, with their remuneration made based on the single tariff network.

The increase will be made starting from 1 September 2017 for the education sector employees and beginning with 1 January 2018 – for the wage earners from other fields. The draft is to be voted in the final reading.
