Countries of Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, Japan to depen cooperation

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii on 20 September participated in a meeting of the heads of diplomacies in the format of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM+Japan, held in New York on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s media interaction service has reported.

The participants in the meeting tackled the present stage of the cooperation relations and priority cooperation trends. At the same time, the officials welcomed the tenth anniversary of the Partnership GUAM+Japan in 2017 and voiced willingness to continue developing and deepening the cooperation in the long run.

The sides also expressed concern about the nuclear programmes of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
