Moldovan president awards state distinctions to officers of State Protection and Guard Service

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - In the context of the holding, for the first time ever, of the World Championship Bodygyard-2017in Moldova on 17-19 September this year, in which over 100 representatives from 18 countries participated, President Igor Dodon conveyed sincere congratulations to the team of the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS) on gaining victory at this championship, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state highly appreciated the performance of the SPPS employees, who ranked first for the first time in the history of the concerned championship.
On this occasion, Igor Dodon today signed a decree on awarding state distinctions to officers of the State Protection and Guard Service.
Thus, the head of state awarded the Order „Credință Patriei” (Loyalty to Motherland), first class, to lieutenant-colonel Alexei Spinu; the medal „Meritul Militar” (Military Merit) to major Eugeniu Arnaut, captain Andrei Ivanov, lieutenant Andrei Smecal and captain Marcel Trudov, for irreproachable fulfillment of the office duties and the progress achieved at the World Championship Bodygyard-2017.
