Participants from more states bring together at international exhibition in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ – Almost 100 institutions and businesses, young creators and inventors from Moldova, Romania, Portugal, Croatia, Czech Republic, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Morocco and Indonesia participate within the International Specialised Exhibition Infoinvent, 15th issue, opened at Moldexpo International Centre today. The event lasts till 18 November 2017.
Interviewed by the agency, Director General of the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Lilia Bolocan, said the exhibition of 2017 being special and rather rich, the participants’ works being exhibited in five segments: inventions, plant varieties and industrial design, innovative products and services, innovation and technology transfer projects, youth creation and creative industries. There were exhibited around 400 inventions, innovative and creative products/services, innovative projects and technology transfer on the exhibition stands.
At his turn, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Technological Transfer (ATIT), Roman Chirca, said that although the number of participants has been lower than previously, exhibits of 2017 to be more interesting and with many new inventions. "Perhaps, more stringent conditions for participation were set in 2017. It is a proof that a country can only develop into a knowledge – based society," said Roman Chirca.
General Manager of the Moldovan – Italian Chamber of Commerce, Cristina Samson, said that the purpose of the institution has been developing technology transfer and to attract investment in creative business to provide added value to both the economy and society. "We have over 70 members working in the creative business area. We are here to provide advice and help in setting business within creative sphere," said Cristina Samson.
The folk craftsman, Victor Pelin, said he exhibited for the event a collection of wooden objects designed to develop child’s motor functions. "These objects have the shape of a thong, clown, geometric figures etc. and can be used for the child’s harmonious development," said Victor Pelin.
It will be held a master class in the field of vegetable fiber braids (gauntlets) on Thursday, 16 November, at 14:00 in central pavilion of Moldexpo, presented by the folk craftsman Natalia Cangea. There will also participate disciples of the Children’s creative and recreation centre from Criuleni. Additionally, Innovation Scholarship: "Financing of innovation enterprises by Horizon 2020" will take place on Friday, 17 November, at 10:00.
Also, award ceremony of winners of the International Specialised Exhibition Infoinvent will be organised in central pavilion of Moldexpo on Friday, 17 November, at 15.00. Among the most important distinctions to be awarded include: The Award of the Government of Moldova – Outstanding inventor; Distinctions of the World Intellectual Property Organisation; medals and trophies of AGEPI; mentions and diplomas of partners, etc.
It is organized by the AGEPI, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) and Moldexpo, with the European Patent Office’s (EPO) support.
