Chisinau city hall likely to rent equipment from economic agents for winter interventions

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/- The Chisinau city hall intends to rent from the economic agents technique for interventions, in exceptional situations, in winter. Acting mayor of Chisinau Silvia Radu made the statement at a today’s meeting of the commission on emergencies of the capital.
The agenda of the meeting focused on topics related to the preparation of the municipality for interventions of services during winter.
The official noted that one of the biggest problems during winter interventions is the lack of technique. “We will call early on to the economic agents that have the technique, so that in case of calamities it can be used. We have to find a legal way to contract the respective economic agents, and to set the possible cost we will provide for the services. Also, in winter time, routing points or crisis cells will be created in each sector to better manage exceptional situations,” Radu said.
Also, the event focused on the need to acquire work equipment, specialized ladder machines, more pumps and to build new rainwater pipelines. “Next, the cleaning of the drainage channels will be performed using equipment of “Apa-Canal Chisinau” enterprise. A storm sewer inspection will be carried out to determine if it requires repair work”, Radu said.
At the same time, the acting mayor urged the heads of municipal institutions and departments to submit business plans, investment projects for the next five years. A plan for redevelopment of Regia Exdrupo enterprise was requested too.
Praetors of sectors listed the equipment that is expected to intervene in winter. It has also been decided that anti-skidding material will be distributed in the capital’s sectors until the first snowfall.
Attending the event were 26 out of the 44 members of the commission on emergencies of the capital. Thus, the acting mayor pointed out that soon the composition of the commission will be reduced. The decision was motivated that in such a way, “it will be more operative and the actions will be executed more efficiently”.
