Five new members elected to Moldova's Superior Council of Prosecutors

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ – The General Assembly of Prosecutors elected five new members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) today.
The head of the General Prosecutor’s office’s press service, Maria Vieru, informed the agency that "that is Inga Furtuna – prosecutor in the Department for combating torture within the criminal investigation of the General Prosecutor’s office; Andrei Rosca – Chief Prosecutor of Rezina Prosecutor's office; Adrian Bordianu – Chief Prosecutor of Criuleni Prosecutor's office; Angela Motuzoc – Deputy Assistant Chief Prosecutor of Chisinau Prosecutor's office and Constantin Susu – Prosecutor of Sangerei Prosecutor's office".
According to the legal provisions, the mandate of the elected members of the CSP is four years, and the same person can not hold the office two consecutive terms.
Also, persons elected as members of the CSP shall be removed from office during the term of the mandate.
The mandates of 6 out of 12 of the CSP members expire on 19 December 2017. They are: Remus Moroz, Eduard Masnic, Vasile Stoinov, Ruslan Popov, Viorel Tureac and chairman of this self – administration body, Mircea Rosioru.
