Fourteen Bulgarian companies present products at business forum in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/- Fourteen Bulgarian companies today presented several local food and beverages at a business forum. The event aimed to deepen the business relations between economic agents from Moldova and Bulgaria.

The business forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova in cooperation with the similar institution from Bulgaria and Bulgarian Embassy in Chisinau.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Moldova Petar Vîlov said that the exchange of goods between Moldova and Bulgaria has increased significantly in the last period. “There are capacities to improve the bilateral business climate and economic growth between the two countries. The event will present products and services of Bulgarian companies and bilateral meetings will be organized, allowing Moldovan economic agents to set relations and partnerships with Bulgarian business environment”, the official said.

For his part, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergiu Harea, noted that the event aims to develop trade relations between the two countries. “The EU is the main partner of Moldova in foreign trade. Thus, the event is a positive impetus for cooperation between our countries. In the first nine months of 2017, exchange of goods between Moldova and Bulgaria increased by 30 per cent, which means we have a great potential. At the same time, we believe that following today’s event, the number of companies willing to invest in Moldova will be on the rise”, Harea said.

In the context, director of Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organisation Vitalie Zaharia said that today’s forum will establish business relations in new areas and sectors. “We are glad that this meeting is organized at a very high level. Here we see companies that we already know and have partnerships. We have partnerships with economic agents from different countries, which allows promoting our products on foreign market. Our citizens highly appreciate quality of Bulgarian products, therefore, we hope to sign several business contracts, following the forum”, Zaharia said.

There are 57 companies with Bulgarian capital operating in Moldova.
