Moldovan commercial bank inaugurates first centre for young people in financial, banking sector from Moldova

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - The commercial bank Moldova Agroindbank (MAIB) has inaugurated the first centre for young people, MAIB studio Avanti, in the financial and banking sector of Moldova. Here, young persons will be familiarized with the basic notions of the modern financial world, banking services and products, with the use of the last generation information technologies.
The training room is endowed with the newest video apparatus and sound effects, laptops, tablets, connected to the wi-fi net, as well as other advanced technology meant for training sessions. The Centre’s programme provides for presentations and an open dialogue with experts and specialists in the field.
“We are set to have a new model of communication with young people, an open, interactive dialogue, in order to understand their needs and provide them with concrete solutions. The centre is not part of the education system, but we will actively cooperate with state and private organizations, so that its work be beneficial for those who will go there,” said the chairman of the Management Board of Moldova Agroindbank, Serghei Cebotari, in the opening of the event.
Cebotari noted that MAIB studio Avanti is meant “to help young people wisely use new technologies, banking products and services, learn to correctly manage money, in conditions of maximum of security and personally test the latest banking innovations.”
Sessions dedicated to services provided by Moldova Agroindbank or goods offered in partnership will be organized for the young people already involved in business. In particular, it is about crediting offers, through which young people have access to financial means in preferential conditions, with portion of grant. As for students and pupils, presentations will be organized for them, in order to familiarize them with innovative and high-tech banking services and products. Special attention will be paid to school age pupils, to whom elementary terms about money and economics will be explained by means of games.
“Taking into account the fact that an important segment of our clients are young people, we have worked out especially for them different products and services, among which banking card, real estate loans, deposits. We are confident that a correct financial education will allow formation of a responsible lifestyle, young people will be receptive and, as a result, we will have a mutually advantageous partnership,” the deputy chairman of the Moldova Agroindbank Management Board, Oleg Paingu, said.
A new modern design of the Avanti Card, meant for young people, which perfectly combines with the centre’s design, was presented at the event. The card is issued free of charge, being a better category of Visa Clasic card (earlier VISA Electron); the card is endowed with chip, has the contactless technology, as well as the 3D Secure technology (transactions in the online environment are carried out with the use of a dynamic password).
Presently, over 32 per cent of all Moldova Agroindbank clients are young people with ages between 18 and 35 years.
The opening of the centre for Young People MAIB studio Avanti fits the corporate social responsibility policy of Moldova Agroindbank, within which the bank supports a string of education and economic projects for young people, including Merit Scholarships, Scholarships for Young Future, Financial Education Week, National Course of Business Plans for Young People.
