Eighty new medicines registered in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) has authorized 186 pharmaceutical preparations for sale in Moldova, among which 80 are new medicines.

According to AMDM data, over 60 per cent of the authorized preparations are produced in European Union countries, 23.2 – in countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, 4.8 per cent – in Moldova and 3.2 per cent in other states.

AMDM said that more than a half of the medicines registered were preparations meant for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Also, medicines were authorized for diseases of the nervous system, respiratory apparatus, muscular system, digestive tract, anti-infectious and immunomodulating.

At the same time, in last December, the authorities included 8,268 medical devices in the State Register of Medical Devices and issued 339 authorizations of import for medicines.
