First meeting of task force for European integration held at Moldovan government

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- The first meeting of the task force for European Integration, headed by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca, was organized on 2 February 2018, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The task force will work in the format of a government working group, convened on a regular basis at the level of the state secretaries of the 9 ministries and heads of other authorities subordinated to the government. The task force meetings will invite independent experts and civil society representatives who will be able to interact with government decision-makers and will be able to come up with public policy proposals aimed at advancing the agenda of priority reforms and boosting Moldova’s European integration process.
The participants in the task force inaugural meeting have come up with proposals to organize its work and suggested the use of this work format to address and settle priority issues on the government’s reform agenda.
The working group will help improve communication and strategic visibility on European integration, as well as strengthen the dialogue and cooperation of public authorities with civil society experts in monitoring and implementing the provisions of the Association Agreement with the EU.
