Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today established the ceiling selling price for the most demanded Premium-95 petrol at 18.62 lei for one litre and for diesel at 16.48 lei for 7-20 February.
Thus, the petrol’s price rises by 0.15 lei per one litre and diesel cheapens by 0.03 lei against the period before, after in the last previous periods the prices for Premium-95 petrol had grown by 0.93 lei and for diesel – by 0.79 lei. The new prices for petrol and diesel will enter into force at midnight and will be in force starting from 7 February till 20 February. Operators will have no right to sell fuels by retail at higher prices than the ones set by ANRE.
The quotation of the Brent oil barrel at the London-based ICE Exchange, with delivery in April 2018, today at noon amounted to more than 66.97 dollars per one barrel, after it had went up to over 70 dollars per one barrel in late last January. The oil price on the international market drops against a background of increase in the oil production in the USA, which reached the level of production of 1970.
The Economic Forecasting Agency of Russia estimates that, in 2018, the petrol price will most probably increase to the ceiling of 68-73 dollars per one barrel in February and will hit the maximum level of 90 dollars in next August; subsequently it will drop to 78 dollars/barrel in December. Games will be made by the big producing countries at high level.
