Five departments of Chisinau city hall merge with other subdivisions within institution

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ – Five departments within the Chisinau city hall were merged with other subdivisions within institution. The decision was made at the meeting of Chisinau municipal council (CMC) today.

According to CMC's decision, socio-ecological division will be part of the municipality's general directorate – general, and Directorate of Agriculture and Food was absorbed by Directorate – General for Economy, Reforms and Patrimony Relations.

At the same time, Municipal Health Directorate and Municipal Population Fund Directorate merged with Social Assistance Directorate and Directorate of Culture was merged with the Education, Youth and Sport Directorate.

Interviewed by agency, Deputy head of law department of Mayor’s office, Valeriu Bogdan, specified that the financial means provided for maintenance of staff of closed directions would be transferred to main directions. "Also, the leaders of the entities will be under the direction of merging divisions. We assume that there will be other changes in structures of departments, reshuffle being part of reform of the city hall of Chisinau," said Bogdan.

So far, there have been 13 departments within the Chisinau City Hall. For now, municipal authorities have not specified what their number is to beafter reform completion.
