Moldova to participate in Expo Dubai 2020 world exhibition

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will participate in the world exhibition, Expo Dubai 2020, due to be staged in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 20 October 2020 – 10 April 2021. The participants in a today’s cabinet meeting approved a decision to this effect, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The document sees the setting up of an organizational committee, that will work out an action plan and will organize national contests related to the participation in the exhibition, including on the concept of participation and design of the pavilion, will ensure the preparation of promotional materials. Also, the Committee will make preventive calculations of the exhibition’s spending.   

The Moldexpo International Exhibitions Centre was appointed national authority in charge of Moldova’s participation in Expo Dubai 2020.

The taking part in the event represents for Moldova an opportunity of making itself conspicuous in the world, of promoting national values and boosting the commercial, economic, scientific, technological and cultural exchanges.  

According to organizers’ estimations, Expo Dubai 2020, with the official title, Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, will be visited by about 25 million people, of whom 70 per cent – visitors from outside the host country.
