Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, next week at the latest, will unveil a new extended list of compensated medicines. State General Secretary at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry Boris Gilca has made statements to this effect in an interview given exclusively to MOLDPRES.
According to Gilca, the list will comprise more medicines, which will provide access to free of charge treatment to a larger number of persons and will lead to the diversification of preparations on the pharmaceutical market.
“Patients should know that the legislation oblige physicians to show in the prescription the international name of the preparation prescribed. The cheap medicines are as efficient as the expensive ones. If the physicians indicated in the prescription the commercial name of the preparation, this is a signal that corruption acts may happen and they must be denounced,” Gilca noted.
Last time, the authorities extended the list of compensated pharmaceutical preparations in the summer of 2017. At that time, the document was supplemented by 12 common international names. It is about preparations used in the therapy of cystic fibrosis, bullous epidermolysis and acute respiratory infections in children. Seven preparations indicated for the treatment of neurological, gastrological diseases and pain control in oncological patients have been compensated at the level of 70 per cent.
