Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets Russian counterpart

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi today had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.

The two officials exchanged opinions on up-to-date subjects on the agenda of the Moldovan-Russian relations. The sides stressed the need to improve the political dialogue, in order to identify mutually advantageous solutions for the advancement of the cooperation in priority sectors.

Also, Ulianovschi and Lavrov emphasized the importance to continue the negotiations to identify a political solution as to process of Transnistrian settlement, based on the observance of the principles of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
