Busts to rulers to be set in central Moldova town

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers, at a today’s meeting, approved the construction of busts to Rulers Mihai Viteazul and Alexandru Ioan Cuza. The busts will be set in the Square of Rulers from the central Calarasi town, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

The spending needed for the making and erecting the busts, as well as for the arrangement of the adjacent ground will be covered from donations and sponsorships.

Also, the government accepted a proposal to set a memorial plaque in the memory of the illustrious theatre and film actors, people’s artists, founders of the Musical and Dramatic Theatre A.S. Pushkin (presently the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre), Constantin Constantinov and Ecaterina Kazimirova.    

The memorial plaque is to be placed on the façade of the building where the artists lived, on the Alexei Sciusev Street 71, Chisinau city. The necessary financial resources will be provided by the Constantinov family, as well as from donations.
