Moldovan prime minister visits international wine exhibition

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, visited the International Specialised Exhibition of Wines: Expovin Moldova 2018, today. The event brought together over 90 winemakers from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Spain and Canada.
According to the government’s communication and media relations department, Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, wished a lot of success to exhibitors, underlining that viticulture and winemaking sector has been a strategic one for Moldova. In the context, the Premier said that such events have represented an effective method of promoting Moldovan wines internationally, but also a possibility to take over the best practices in the field.
Expovin Moldova 2018 is an international wine producer platform where wines, equipment, materials and technologies are used in wine industry. Thus, it is ensured an efficient cooperation of wine industry specialists.
The event takes place in Chisinau on 21 – 23 February. It was also held a wine tasting contest at the exhibition where there were exhibited over 400 wine samples from 12 countries.
