Moldova can count on support of Sweden in providing necessary expertise to implement reforms

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/ – Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, had a meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström, on 26 February 2018, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
Referring to the Conclusions on Moldova approved by the EU Foreign Affairs Council, the Moldovan Minister noted that the document to be a comprehensive, balanced one and points both to the progress made and areas where authorities are to undertake increased efforts, justice, mass – media and fight against corruption.
Margot Wallström pointed out that reforms would generate concrete benefits for citizens, to provide support for transformations promoted by the Moldovan authorities. The Swedish official said that Moldova could count on Sweden's support in providing necessary expertise to implement sectoral reforms.
Also, Moldovan official appreciated active role of Sweden as one of active initiators and promoters of the Eastern Partnership cooperation.
Additionally, Minister Ulianovschi thanked Sweden for bilateral constructive cooperation as well as mutual support within international organisations.
