Eight school races suspended due to snowy roads

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/- Eight school races in six districts of the country were suspended today due to snowy roads.

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, over 200 pupils were unable to attend classes due to cessation of these races.

According to data, it is about – districts Cahul, Cantemir, Hancesti, Orhei, Taraclia and Ungheni.

Children could not attend classes due to the failure of three buses. They are currently under repair.

At the same time, the National Patrol Inspectorate announced that in Anenii Noi district heavy tonnage transport is restricted. Patrol crews accompany the special vehicles for processing roads with anti-slip material.

Currently, 134 crews and 250 patrol officers are involved to maintain road safety. All patrol crews are equipped to support citizens.

Meteorologists today announced yellow cold code until 3 March. At the same time, yellow code for ice formation is also valid till 3 March.
