Mobile customs teams work to be reorganized

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet today approved amendments to a previous decision, according to which the activity of the mobile customs teams will be reorganized in the context of the Customs Service reform.

Under the new structure, the mobile team coordination centre has been renamed in the analysis and coordination centre as a section subdivision of the customs fraud investigation department. Thus, it no longer coordinates the activity of mobile teams throughout the customs territory, but aims at collecting, recording, processing and generalizing information on customs fraud.

A new item has been set in the Regulation providing for the procedure of storing, processing and destroying video images, respecting the principle of personal data protection.

The reports on customs control by mobile teams are to be described as special acts with strict evidence.
