Moldovan foreign minister meets with Director – General of UN Office in Geneva

Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ –Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi had a meeting with Michael Møller, General Director of the UN Office in Geneva on 28 February, during a working visit to Geneva, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
Minister Ulianovschi congratulated UN official on occasion of extending his mandate as General Director of the UN Office in Geneva, which, according to Moldovan diplomat, serves as the basis for recognition of UN Secretary General of his success in promoting universal values of peace, human rights , well – being and sustainability.
During the discussion, officials exchanged views on degree and pace of implementation of projects launched in recent years by UN Office in Geneva, including: Patrimonial Strategic Plan, Perceptual Change Project (PCP), as well as initiative of Michael Møller to set up an Info and Consultation Centre on Sustainable Development Objectives to serve as a platform for info exchange, experience and best practices among UN member states.
In this context, UN official informed about the use of financial contribution made by the Government of Moldova on occasion of the 25th anniversary of joining the UN in order to build on the territory of the National Palace additional electric vehicle loading stations.
