Moldovan speaker of parliament meets with all heads of delegations participating in Interparliamentary Conference

Chisinau, 02 March /MOLDPRES/ – The Speaker of Parliament had a meeting with all Heads of Delegations participating into high – level Interparliamentary Conference: Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Eastern Partnership and Current Security Challenges, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Andrian Candu thanked his colleagues from 11 Parliaments which attended Conference for support announced to Moldova. He also thanked his counterparts in Georgia and Ukraine for deciding to launch a common platform for promoting security and defence policies and reforms to transform the three countries into countries eligible for EU membership.
There is to remind that today, in Chisinau, Moldovan, Georgian and Ukrainian Speakers of Parliament announced to set up a trilateral reunion within Eastern Partnership, an initiative to make the three countries stronger in the face of current security challenges and implementation of reforms.
At the Conference, in partnership with the Atlantic Council, at the initiative of the Speakers of Parliaments of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, there were debated issues related to info security, energy, defence, economic growth and rule of law. The event gathered around 150 high – level officials and experts, including speakers from Legislative, MEPs, US Congress representatives, notable international and regional experts.
