The two mayors noted they discussed the implementation of joint projects, Chisinau city hall administration, public money and transport management.
“We thank the Bucharest city hall for the assistance provided through the cooperation programme signed in Bucharest, which provides for measures to implement joint projects in education, health and culture. By signing the protocol, we took another step forward in the collaboration between the two municipalities. We also approached other interesting projects that can be done in Chisinau. Also, we intend to take over the practices of Bucharest to improve the situation in Chisinau,” Radu said.
“We are going to the implementation stage of the approved projects in the shortest time. Teams of specialists from Chisinau and Bucharest will work in this respect. I hope that the implementation of the joint projects will improve the lives of Chisinau residents,” Radu said.
Gabriela Firea noted she wants the relations between the two mayoralties to be effective and lasting. “I came here not just as friends or neighbors, but as to our brothers, with whom we have to support in various difficult moments of life. We will try our best to make life better for our citizens here. Thus, concrete actions will be taken in education, culture and health. We do not want to stop here, we will continue to work in public services. We have the necessary experience and we want to share it with the local authorities in Chisinau, so that the public money is spent wisely. It is necessary to work for the development of the city, citizens’ safety and consolidation of architectural heritage. We want to advance, to have long-lasting relations and to set a roadmap for achieving concrete results for the benefit of the citizens,” Firea said.
