Moldovan foreign minister discusses issue of implementing e – commerce in Geneva

Chisinau, 09 March /MOLDPRES/ – Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, as Chairman of the Trade and Development Council discussed in Geneva with UNCTAD General Director, Mukhisa Kituyi, issue of e – commerce implementation on a global scale as well as financing of programmes within given field, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
Minister Ulianovschi presented work programme of the Council, measures taken to implement e – commerce within member states and actions planned for future as to develop that field, within dialogue’s framework.
Mukhisa Kituyi praised UNCTAD Trade and Development Council work, positive developments in e – commerce and its development programmes and visions.
The interlocutors agreed to prepare a comprehensive report on implementation and development e – commerce aspects, to be presented at UNO’s General Assembly in April 2018.
UNCTAD Deputy Director – General, Isabelle Durant, also attended the meeting.
