Denunciation of illegal practices within public entities to be simplified in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a draft law on persons warning about integrity problems, in order to establish an efficient mechanism of denouncing corruption and protecting persons warning about integrity problems. This will lead to an enhancement of the denunciation of illegal practices and other disclosures of public interest.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the draft law sets the way of notifying illegal practices within public and private entities, procedure of their examination, the rights of the persons warning about integrity problems and measures of their protection, obligations of employers, powers of the authorities in charge of considering such disclosures and of those of protecting the persons warning about integrity problems.
The document was worked out to carry out the national strategy of integrity and anticorruption for 2017-2020, as well as to adjust Moldova’s legislative framework with the international standards in the sector.
