Regulation on meal vouchers to be published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The regulation on the way of using meal vouchers will be published in the 16 March issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The document sets the conditions for the use of meal vouchers by employees, employers, operators licenced in printing the vouchers, commercial units due to operate with meal vouchers, as well as the fiscal aspect in this respect.
Thus, the regulation sees that the number of tickets provided to the employee must be equal to the number of days effectively worked in the previous month. The nominal value of one voucher will be at least 35 lei and will be meant only for the employees from the private sector. The vouchers can me issued on paper or electronically and are not transmissible, and the right to use them belongs exclusively to the employee.
Also, the regulation bans the exchange of meal vouchers for money. The vouchers can be used only for buying food products and commercial units which are to operate with meal vouchers are obliged to post this availability at the entrance into the unit.
The 16 March Official Journal will also contain a model of register for keeping record of the meal vouchers issued to employees. The regulation on the way of operation with meal vouchers was worked out in the context of the enforcement of the law on meal vouchers.
