Moldova, Qatar interested in developing bilateral relations

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The holding of a meeting of the Moldovan-Qatari inter-governmental commission for economic, commercial and technical cooperation during 2018 would represent an important step in fostering the bilateral relations between Moldova and the State of Qatar. Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi has made statements to this effect at a meeting with Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Moldova Mohammed Ali Bin Mohammed Al-Malki, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction department has reported.
Minister Ulianovschi said that the organization of such a meeting would contribute to boosting the cooperation in the sectors of economy, culture, other fields, as well as to extending the legal basis of cooperation in these sectors.
The ambassador of the State of Qatar reiterated his country’s interest in extending the bilateral relations with Moldova in various fields. He noted that the meeting of the inter-governmental commission would be an efficient platform for stepping up the Moldovan-Qatari cooperation.
The two officials also reviewed the Moldovan-Qatari bilateral cooperation ties, stressing the joint interest in developing them in diverse sectors, both at the bilateral level and at the multilateral one.
