Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ - The faction of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) today filed a simple motion in parliament against the policy promoted by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, led by Svetlana Cebotari.
According to a PSRM lawmaker, Vasile Bolea, the policy carried out by the ministry is adverse and Minister Svetlana Cebotari should come up with a report to MPs on more sectors, among which the exodus of medical staff, work of district hospitals and children’s protection.
“Under the concept of reforming the regional hospitals, more sections are to be closed, which worries us. Another subject which must be discussed is the exodus of medical staff, as we will soon face a situation of not having physicians to take care of citizens’ health,” Bolea said.
The Socialist lawmaker noted that the reform of pensions, as well as their recalculation should be discussed too. “The protection of children who remained without parental care is fully excluded from the ministry’s agenda. Only four mayoralties of those over 900 existing ones have employed specialists for children’s protection,” Bolea added.
The simple motion against the health, labour and social protection minister is the third one to be discussed in parliament since early 2018. The first minister who came up with a report before the MPs was Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca will unveil a report at the plenary meeting today as well.
The motion was signed by 20 PSRM lawmakers and the parliament is to decide when it will be considered.
