Medicines Agency concludes memorandum of understanding with similar institution in Romania

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/- Romania will provide support to Moldova in the field of quality, efficacy and safety of medicines. A memorandum to this effect was has been recently signed between the leadership of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) and the National Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices in Romania (ANMDM).
According to AMDM, the document was signed last week in Bucharest during a working visit of the Moldovan delegation, by AMDM director-general Vladislav Zara and ANMDM head Alexandru Velicu.
Under the memorandum, soon a correlation network will be set up for the exchange of scientific and technical information in line with European legislation and national legislation in force.
In early March, a similar agreement was signed between AMDM and similar institution in Bulgaria.
The agreement sees the cooperation in all areas, particularly in the field of authorization of medicines and medical devices. At the same time, the document will expand the portfolio of medicines made in Bulgaria and marketed on the pharmaceutical market of Moldova.
Last year, AMDM concluded memoranda of collaboration with similar structures in Belarus, Poland and Lithuania.
