First Home programme to be officially launched on 21 March

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - The First Home programme will soon become functional and experts work for its extension, which will provide additional facilities to civil servants. The leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, made statements to this effect at the end of the PDM weekly meeting today.
According to Plahotniuc, on 21 March, the programme will be officially launched and experts already work on the extension to which references have been earlier made. “The subject has been also earlier discussed and deals with the applying of facilities for civil servants. The new provisions of the programme are meant to encourage young people to remain in the budgetary system, as well as to have stimuli to be employed in state institutions,” Plahotniuc said.
The First Home programme was approved in parliament in late 2017. In last February, the cabinet approved a regulation on the programme’s implementation.
The First Home was worked out to help young people buy their first dwelling in more advantageous conditions of crediting, as the state guarantees 50 per cent of the loan’s balance. The annual ceiling of state guarantees and the sum of financial means meant for their fulfillment will be established yearly. A guarantee fund worth 50 million lei is provided for in the state budget for 2018.
The programme will be implemented through the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development.
