Moldovan economics minister encourages economic agents from Moldova, Bosnia & Herzegovina to set up mixed capital companies

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici today had an official meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Bosnia & Herzegovina Igor Crnadak. In the context, the sides showed interest in the implementation of joint projects on the promotion of trade and simulating the economic development.
“To attract investments and facilitate their work, the government has undertaken a string of actions. I will make reference here to the benefits provided by the free economic zones and the first IT Park in Moldova, where over 140 companies have been already registered. We encourage economic agents from both countries to set up mixed capital companies in sectors of common interest,” Chiril Gaburici said.
For his part, Foreign Affairs Minister of Bosnia & Herzegovina Igor Crnadak said that his country was interested in Moldova’s experience in the development of the IT sector, as well as in the launch of small- and medium-sized businesses. “We appreciate your openness to exchange experience. Thus, we have possibility to strengthen the bilateral cooperation and simulate the economic development of both countries,” Igor Crnadak said.
In the context, the sides discussed also the project, Good Roads for Moldova, as well as opportunities of developing tourism in Moldova.
Foreign Affairs Minister of Bosnia & Herzegovina Igor Crnadak pays an official visit to Moldova on 19-21 March.
Official data shows that the bilateral trade in 2017 amounted to 3.9 million dollars, up by seven per cent against 2016. Also, last year, the export of goods recorded two million dollars (increasing by 27 per cent) and the import stood at 1.9 million dollars (down by 8.4 per cent).
